"Murzyn" for the World Theatre Day

The play was written and directed by Remigiusz Caban, stage design by Krzysztof Szczęsny, costumes by Zofia Mazurczak. Music was composed by Jarosław Babula, and choreography designed by Dariusz Brojek.
The performance features Magdalena Kozikowska, Mariola Łabno-Flaumenhaft, Jagoda Pietruszkówna, Beata Zarembianka, Robert Chodur, Sławomir Gaudyn, Paweł Gładyś, Łukasz Krzemiński, Wojciech Kwiatkowski, Adam Mężyk, Piotr Napieraj, Ireneusz Pastuszak, Grzegorz Pawłowski, Kornel Pieńko.
This is what its author and director says about the performance: The plot of the play, which takes place in the theatre, is based on the historical event which happened in Łódź in 1867, and involved a visit and sudden death of Ira Aldrige, an African-American actor of world fame.
The rapid course of events is propelled, like in a classic detective story, by the search for the answer to the question: "Who is the murderer?" and brings numerous surprising and amusing situations. Besides being good entertainment, "Murzyn" provokes reflection - viewers will see how much the portrait stage artists' life resembles their own fate.
