The 19th International Biennale of Theatre Poster – aims to present posters promoting theatre and opera performances, concerts or related events created in 2021-2023. The Biennale exhibition will be held in October 2023 at the Wanda Siemaszkowa Theatre in Rzeszów. The curator of Biennial is Krzysztof Motyka.
The International Theater Poster Biennale is an event organized by Teatr im. Wanda Siemaszkowa for nearly forty years. The competition is one of the most famous and prestigious events of this type in the world, and artists from Europe, Asia, South America and Iran apply to participate in it.
The announcement of the Jury’s verdict and the award ceremony will take place on October 19, 2022 during the inauguration of the 62st Rzeszów Theater Meetings – Festival of Masterpieces. From that day, the best works will be on display for a month at the post-competition exhibition, which will be located in the foyer of the theatre. Deadline for accepting applications: September 08, 2024.
The jury will honor the authors of the most outstanding posters with the following awards:
- Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Award – 5,000 PLN
- Mayor of Rzeszów Award – 4,000 PLN
- Director of the Wanda Siemaszkowa Theatre in Rzeszów Award – 3,000 PLN
